There are a couple of popular rivers in Cambodia where fishing is a common daily work for fish-men. Along Tonle Sap river, Mekong River, and Bassac River at the riverside in the capital city. I found that river fish are more tasty. Before you do your fishing activity , come and check out what available in local markets to see what type of fish fish-men caught. Then you might want to visit some local fishing community along Mekong River to see how and what they catch on their daily basis.
Another best idea is to rent a boat at the riverside , it costs you about 15-20 USD per hour and the boat owner will sail to the right spot for your amazing fishing experience. Note: Two hours is the minimum because it is enough to go back and forth. Along Mekong River, you might be able to drop by Silk community.

What about fishing at sea? If you are a sea person, Sihaknukville is the best place where you can check out some great spots for fishing experience. The local fish-men there know where the great places for fishing. Have fun, and sail with them to some islands.
If i would suggest, Mekong river’s fishing should be the best option because you will enjoy not just the fishing, but also seeing some great city and urban life.
